About Us
Welcome to the Ancient Path Augusta! We are Augusta's largest covenstead and host EarthFest Augusta, Augusta Wytch's Ball, and APA Pagan Symposium! We host public sabbats, full moon esbats, and additional activities throughout the year. We will also host special events and extra gatherings throughout the month.
Please understand this IS a Covenstead. We are a recognized church and are welcoming to all people as we are an eclectic and diverse group. We are also a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do require mutual respect. All of this sets us apart from other groups. More information upon request. Thank you! Knowledge seekers & path finders! Helping others to find their own true North. Interested in joining our covenstead or want more information, please EMAIL US! We have a coven store to help raise funds for our ministries and to better serve our community. Our History
Our group was founded in 2012 in order to revitalize the ancient religions for our modern times. In 2018 Ancient Path Augusta (APA) took over Pagan Pride, changing it to Pagan Fest Augusta. June of 2018 we became legally recognized as a church, making us the first and only legal Pagan Church in Augusta, GA. In 2019 we began work towards building our wytchling's program. October 2019, we have voted to form an official Wytch's council initially consisting of 7 people who help in running all of the projects and events the covenstead takes part in. We held Augusta's first Witch's Ball to be held on Imbolc 2020 and it has become an annual event. 2020 we also changed Pagan Fest Augusta to EarthFest Augusta to be more inclusive of the entire Pagan and Wytch community. While COVID was a challenge, we learned to convert many things virtually and now broadcast all sabbats and full moon esbats on our Facebook page. In 2021 we opened our Natural Elements Shoppe and rejuvenated Fort Eisenhower (formerly Fort Gordon) Open Circle for our military Pagans. 2022 started off with a bang, with our official documents from national Spiral Scouts recognizing our wytchling scouting hearth. 2023 has brought more blessings with our final approval as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We do not believe in tithing as we do not think access to faith should be based upon one's ability to pay. The same for our Spiral Scouts, where any child ages 3-18 years can join and APA covers 100% of the costs. Our Wytch's Ball, EarthFest, APA Pagan Symposium, Natural Elements Shoppe, and other fundraisers we have throughout the year cover the costs of the covenstead and its ministries.
